Chrysler and General Motors to Purchase SeQent’s Products for New and Existing Plants
London, ON – May 2008 – SeQent, the leading provider of innovative real-time condition monitoring, dispatch and visual management display solutions announces that Chrysler and General Motors have made further commitments to deploy their solutions. Under the sales agreements, Chrysler and GM will purchase SeQent software and hardware products for new and existing plants.
Chrysler – In support of Chrysler’s corporate commitment to quality – Chrysler has agreed to upgrade their ageing paging infrastructure by purchasing 29 new paging transmitters. In addition, they have made a commitment to purchase the complete suite of FirstPAGE and Marquee Manager software products for the recently announced Phoenix program. The Phoenix program is Chrysler’s commitment to build two (2) new powertrain plants and retrofit an existing facility as part of a $3 billion capital investment.
General Motors – GM has purchased three (3) additional licenses of Marquee Manager for their plants in Spring Hill, TN, Oshawa, ON and Kansas City, KS – as part of their Global Production Monitoring and Controls (GPM&C) system. It was recently announced that the Spring Hill plant would manufacturer the new 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, with production beginning in Q3 2008.
