SeQent Announces Major Sales Win With Georgia-Pacific
London, ON – December 18, 2008– SeQent, the leading provider of real-time visualization solutions, announces after a successful Proof of Concept (POC) test, Georgia-Pacific and the corporate IT group have agreed to endorse its FirstPAGE, FirstPAGE Alarm Manager and Marquee Manager software products. The first division to purchase and deploy these solutions is the Building Products division which includes the Camden, Texas and Corrigan, Texas plywood mills.
“In today’s ultra-competitive and cash-strapped business environment where consumer spending is dramatically decreasing, it is imperative for manufacturing companies to look for new ways to improve their manufacturing operations,” said Scott Burns, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of SeQent. “Georgia-Pacific is committed to continuous improvement and has looked to SeQent to help them implement a decision support platform that is integrated into their Data Collection System and other plant floor systems. Our solutions leverage and extend these applications to the floor – so operators can see efficiency targets, run rates, piece counts, and fault messages on their BlackBerry’s, Cell Phones and LED displays in real-time.”
